CRY: A-to-Z Challenge [3 April 2014]

A heart wrenching CRY is what came out.
When she reached the end.
Of the stairway that she believed lead to a paradise.
That stairway took her to an unknown place.
The sound echoed as she walked & cried.
She kept walking and she kept crying.

A heart wrenching CRY did not end for days.
She cried as she was frightened.
She cried as she was blind folded.
She cried for help.
She cried for a companion.
She cried for the fact that she could not see her face.

A heart wrenching CRY did not kill her.
A heart wrenching CRY did not help her either.
She was bored with the echo of her cries.

So she stopped crying.
The only sound that echoed now was of her footsteps.

But she had to cry to realize that she has to stop.
Her tears made her strong. They told her that it could only get better now.
Her tears could no more cloud her sight.
She could now see the light!

Author's Note: If there is something you are holding on to? Let it go, with a heart wrenching CRY!

P.S.: I relate this post with CRY as an emotion.

  1. Well yes....Crying is like a great relief but being a guy...its difficult to depend upon this specific emotion since that's not the way world looks at us!!

    Beautifully crafted!!

    1. Thank you Hemant. I guess I knew about the gender segmentation that is why subconsciously I chose a she. Wish it was more of a balanced world :)

  2. Those tears washed away what was clouding her vision and brought some clarity. Your post re-affirms my faith that it is ok to cry and be sad, as long as you pick up the reins of your life and start walking again.

  4. She was the slave of circumstances but she had to emerge as a strong willed. what an apt ending. There is always a light or rainbow after the stormy night! good one! :)

  5. V lovely Shine :) I agree letting loose what we r feeling in a safe place is so healing. Hemant , tru, I've always felt for men and the hard veneer they are forced to wear finally harming their physical heart due to suppressed emotion.

  11. Crying definitely helps me feel better - I tend to cry when I'm angry, though, rather than sad. Beautiful work.
