Emoticon Magic
(E on Day 5 of A to Z Challenge 2015).

To some it is a cute little gesture
To some it is gross exaggeration
To some it is perils of technology
To some it is a soothing touch on mobile screen
To some.......

You like them, hate them but you cannot ignore them. Because yes, they have the power of flashing a smile on your face when you are low, or make you go mad at a friend who purposely sent you one for making you go in rage with angst.

Allow me to reinvent the old adage - Emoticons speak louder than words.

People don't use words anymore. From Whatsapp, Viber, Skype to BBM the struggle for finding the best emoticon to fit into our emotional state is on.

Feeling feature on Facebook allows a user to add a feeling accompanying an emoticon. For feelings that are not auto-listed, a user can put them up as status and use a suitable emoticon to express one's feeling.

Here is one of those Facebook experiences:

Drop in the comment box your funny, serious, not-so-funny, naive, boring, ...... Emoticon Moment.

Author's Note: While emoticons are creative way of expressing how one feels, sad faced emoticons get my blood boiling. Just the look of it, no matter who sends it.. Arghh!

A Letter: On completion of 6 months of marriage!

Here comes a letter from a husband who completed 6 months of marriage today. This is a guest post by a dost Ravi Maurya, dedicated to his beautiful wife Bimalpreet Kaur. Before you start reading this post, I would like to take the opportunity to wish this newly permanent couple, years of happiness, love, good food,  badminton, cricket and understanding. Happy for you dost!

Here goes the letter and the first guest post on my blog:

Dear Wife,

With due respect, I wanted to bring to your notice that it has been 6 months since I have been assigned the role "Husband".

With pleasure, I can proudly announce that today, I have completed my probation under your command and would like you to discuss my performance objectively for confirmation and strengthening my position under your influence.

As you are aware, to make this process categorically open and competitive under the guidelines of Universal Marriage Act, which knowingly and unknowingly abides by all married partners across the globe, is a tough task. But since we are following WAWM level 5 (Wife Always Wins Model level 5), we need to go through it.

Under this probation review, you need to make an assessment of my skills and thereby provide me a grading on the basis of fulfillment of my Key Responsibility Areas (KRAs). The grading of my KRAs will prove my position and assert whether I have proved to be a good resource for you or not. This assessment will make me eligible for further performance incentives, in case I am found to be a strong contributor throughout my probation period.

In the lack of underlying evidences of good performance, non-fulfillment of my KRA and negative feedback, you have every right to penalize me. The penalty may include expensive gifts, unconditional shopping extravaganza, tours to the most exotic and expensive locations and last but not the least, wasting money on jewellery.

Please list down the important parameters on which you will judge me. Please share the KRAs template with me where I can self–review against the completion of each goal. After a self-review, I’ll submit my performance goal sheet where you will share your feedback and assessment grading. We’ll go further and evaluate significance of each goal and discuss them thoroughly against the desired level of achievement. After successful evaluation we’ll be in a good position to have a broader vision for our mutual growth.

Looking forward for your co-operation during this tedious process yet lovely process.

Yours Sincerely,
Just A Husband

And this is what the wife has to say:

P.S: Thank you Ravi to allow me to go ahead and copy this. It was the first message I saw in the morning on my Facebook feeds. All I wanted was to have it as a guest post.

From necessity to insanity

From necessity to insanity is becoming the mother of all inventions.

It starts when the few avail the first mover advantage, and then you find many people with it, and the worse of all is to find a cheap version of it. Hope you can relate with it.

Micromax A100 - I hate the ideator of this handset, infact, no thinking has gone into it , it is a copy paste of Samsung Galaxy series. Even Samsung has been so upset that it was quick to counter the competition with  Micromax A100  (a 10 grands handset) by launching Samsung Grand Duos (costing 21 grands), keeping quality and brand in perspective.

Isn't it insane that someone creates a product, and others insanely copy it. and yes, it is very much in context of the reason for which Apple sued Samsung.

The problem emerges when you are a proud owner of a Samsung Note 1.

And one fine day - your colleagues walk upto you, wanting to see your mobile. Suddenly you see a that as one of your colleagues held your phone in one of his hands, he held a similar phone in his other hand. Perturbed! I found out that Micromax has launched a phone to compete with Samsung Note.

The embarrassment continues when your best friend's husband calls and interrogates about your Handset, with ofcourse an intent to bring Micromax in the discussion!

Suddenly my handset lost all the admiration, except for from special few, and that totally includes me, who is truely, madly, deeply in love with my baby, my Note <3 ...="" p="">
With this post I declare my enmity towards Micromax, I pray to god that he gives Samsung the will and wisdom to sue Micromax.

Author's Note: Necessity is driving people to insanity. It depends on your outlook - would you call Facebook insane or something you can't do without (typically the case with me)?

Reservation Relaoded

The advent of reservations.. We know all that SC/ST/OBC/ Gujjar/Jat/ Muslim/Christians/General Category  story, lets take a look at a refreshing reloaded version!

Reservation Part 1: The implementation of Direct Taxes code was not taken up in the national Union Budget 2012-13. In addition to Income tax people are forced to pay more service tax as well. Despite surge in inflation, there is a gap of equivalent appraisals. Rupee's value against Dollar is uncontrollably high and the value of gold is shining everywhere than on page 3. Sad we are forced to read all these bland news everyday!

Reservation Part 2:
Your daily SMS limit has been reserved to 20 per day. This has been decided by the government as a lot of SMSes, degrading the government, were doing the rounds. And like an abla naari, she had to protect her integrity!

And the funniest of all is the Reservation Part 3: Seemingly agitated with the stride of protests in the Indian national capital, the administrators have  decided to go aggressive with their autocracies. Now that the police was done with the implementation of section 144, and knowing that amending one of the fundamental rights to protest is not possible, they have another nasty trick in place.

Excerpts from the Times of India Article posted online..
But with Delhi Police reportedly proposing to restrict entry to the grounds with barriers in the wake of recent anti-corruption protests at the site, and seeking to impose visiting hours citing security reasons, this way of life seems threatened.
Complete article is available here

Be it any activity, crime, of a call to call off corruption, the government doesn't think about the ways to solve the issue, but sadly endorse LIMITED ACCESS! With this the sick though they have come a step ahead of its ways of 'reservation'.. Reserving our right to visit places in our own country.

Author's Note: This government does not let a pout of fresh air come in.. I don't want the government to be a nagging neighbourhood aunty. It want it to be someone with the style and pleasant personality as a 5 star waiter!

Crush

More often than never in search of that perfect one, we fall for wrong choices. Some are purely infatuation, some one sided love stories and some are feelings that cannot be defined as just friendship!

Blabber! Oops Blogger~

Although I never felt like putting my everyday chorus on this blog, (by now all the dedicated followers of my blog know I have a personal blog for that ;P), but today I wish to try my hands at it.

I herewith plan to feature a usual day of an unusual blabber! Oops Blogger~~

This stared with an early morning day, packed with meeting over coffee, luncheon briefings(read in the pantry with ofcourse Nish)! I get up after one hour of snoozing alarm, on both the cell phones! As I need to catch-up with the beauty packed sleep. Rush to brush, bathe, get ready and sip into whatever is available to break the night-long fast.

The moment I step out of home, there is an awakening of a feminist inside me. A contradiction of ideologies over reaching office in time or should I fight with that moron, well whatever that is... Now all you guys know why am I mostly late for office.

Well, after a grilling day in office come a mirror-showing moment. Your beloved blogger still manage to look stunning! Well the proof for this come as people sharing contact details by reciting their phone number 9177 ~~ something louder than they ideally would have. Wish I noted his number and put it here!

It was fine to acknowledge my good looks, but that stingy A** got a bad stare, and a clear signal to brush off otherwise the feminist will take on. Besides such sweet acts just make my day!

Author's Note: This post is dedicated to all the blabbers out there! Brush up your skills people, Blabbering is flourishing the creative industry today~

This one is cool!!!

A guy phones up his Boss, but gets the bosses' wife instead. "I'm afraid he died last week." she explains.

The next day the man calls again and asks for the boss. "I told you" the wife replies, "he died last week."

The next day he calls again and once more asks to speak to his boss. By this time the wife is getting upset and shouts, "I'VE ALREADY TOLD YOU TWICE, MY HUSBAND, YOUR BOSS, DIED LAST WEEK! WHY DO YOU KEEP CALLING?"

"Coz," he replied laughing, "I just love hearing it..."

Comedy of Errors

My computer has been slow as their is some mistakes in the system. The seat is wintery since december is the month of cold in my house-land. Air force has been coming inside to my desk because the door is not wind-proof. Coming to office was a war situation today and everyone in office are missing as they want to come late and go early. I had some chewing gums in the morning which are very tasty to taste.

AUTHOR'S NOTE: Dear Readers, the trick here is to commit errors to work as comedy! A colleague introduced me to the concept today morning, and I thought that the last post of the year should end on a smiling note! Chronicwriter has been my constant inspiration and I bow down to all those friends who have brought smile to my face during the past years!

Happy & Prosperous New Year 2010

Love you all!
