Success can fail you, failure will not

Often, we are at that point in life where we see success right on our face. It is that time when we can see success coming right to us. It is a feeling of both accomplishment and disquiet because it is just half an inch away from us. Right when we just cannot wait to grab it and this time again success failed us. The intensity of disappointment ranges from the importance of success and frequency of related failures.

On the other hand, failure is always a possibility - we can fail at every day task. It is frustrating - something like that cup of coffee that does not taste the way you like it. We may not fear failure, but failing is a denunciation. We cannot succeed every time, failure is imminent. Despite failing many times, failure will not make you get used to it. We have had many such examples - talk of Mark Zuckerberg or Thomas Edison or even a random person you see on your way to work. We all struggle to rise above failure - in our own ways. Look at the brighter side, there are things that only failure can teach us. Things that failure bring to us:

1. Failure is a mirror showing moment: No matter whether the moment of failure came to you because of your own short-comings. A failure brings a wide mirror of reality right on to your face.

2. Failure makes you a take a re-look at your strategy: Innovation is the product of fear of failure or becoming redundant. If you dig deep into why you failed, you can find direction and get one notch higher towards success.

3. Failure brings the best in you as an individual: A failed person will have more respect towards the struggles of people around. A different perspective and a fresh outlook towards the world out there.

Success is a constant struggle we fight in solitude. I do not think that anyone is an accidentally successful person, it needs work to be successful. It takes efforts either of the person who succeeded or of those who work for that person. Success is very brittle and relative.

Author's Note: No one succeeds at the very first shot. Success arrives after a series of failure and it is short lived. The same strategy will not work again.

P.S: If you have something to add, I would be delighted to read.

The deadly reach of LinkedIn

Just as employers look for a perfect fit for a role through reference checks, rounds of interviews and discussions – we, as job seekers, look for an organization that is a close fit for our career development.

Factor this, you applied for a job, everything went smooth – and now when you are right out there to be handed over that offer. When you are at the verge of putting down your paper, you were suggested to reach out to former employees of the company. How? Of-course LinkedIn, GlassDoor or just Google the name of the company.... It is like a paparazzi and you are out there to pick clues of the reality.

The company’s secrets are out. Either it could be written somewhere, or you just received a reply from one of the former jilted employees indicating the flaws in the system. And yes those are real flaws – not about office gossip and politics, but about loopholes in the business model, possible jitters that may come in the way of your career development, including the work environment.

Company secrets are no more secrets. It is better if organizations realize that and stop treating an employee as just an employee and make them leave you on a bitter note. Employer branding is a real thing – the dark-side of the office happiness will be exposed. In times to come, organizations will understand the power of employee agony – it can cost you more than a jilted customer.

What are your thoughts on it?

Blessed

Life is what happens to us when we are busy making other plans. It is when we are trying to understand if we are a unicorn, mermaid, dragon or batman, but the reality is that we are we, and not a fictitious character.

While being high on Sex And The City, I cannot help but wonder (pun intended) what is all that fuss about a single women in New York? I have my own share of stories coming right from the horse's mouth - a single woman in New Delhi.

So if you are a writer - by profession and passion, just as I am, what is it that you are looking for? Here's are the few important ones:

- First thing that I look for is my mobile. It is not like school anymore, when my parents use to shout - get up you are getting late. You have to take responsibility of getting up in time. Parents are always a back up when you mistakenly cancel your alarm, when you meant to snooze it.
- The next thing I look for in the morning is not my tooth brush. It is recollecting which day is it and how far is the weekend. How much time can I take out for myself today. And if it is a weekday, the answer is zilch minute!

It makes me come to think about the 24 hour clock, in which we have to catch up with work, commute to work, stretch at work, eat at work, and work work work! Still the work never gets done, we always have a to do list for a tomorrow at work. You get home, to find your mom with a detailed account of how did her day go. And all you do is listen while of-course working on your laptop. And hello it is not that work work, it is your personal work. Remember that pending internet bill, or the mobile bill that you will have to pay online. I am sure we do it while having our dinner. By the time your mom tosses off to sleep, after feeling ignored and not complaining about it, you have your best friend. And here's that call - you could be super busy - but you know that you need it. You need to hear that voice and that you are blessed to have it!

Author's Note: This one is dedicated especially to those late night, cheerfully joyous calls. Love you my special people and all my friends.

Rigmarole!

Question: If given an option for an eight day week, which day, out of all in a week would you want to repeat?

The Friday morning is a happy morning, you wait for the day to end and facebook status reads TGIF.. No hard work today and all the tasks get dragged for the weekend... You stay up till late night, watch a movie or too.. chit chat with friends and make plans for the weekend.. the weekend celebrations begin from friday night.

Saturday morning is when you realize how messed-up your room is. Everything that you have used during the week is lying next to your bed, on the table and in your bags, the wardrobe is all in a state of dizzy...You realize that if you have managed things better, if you kept every stuff at a proper place, than life would be easier.

On a Sunday you find time out of busy shopping schedule, catching up with friends, meeting the grand mom, doing the weekend grooming and et al... Sunday evenings when you have a face-pack on, you start arranging the messed-up stuff in your room. You are tired, but you have decided that you will cut the clutter and clean it up.

The morning blues experienced on the Monday, take a backseat as you feel good about you clean and organised room. You get up and get ready for work. Since you had already decided what to wear, you don't messu the with wardrobe and the undecisiveness. For the day, you bid a good bye to your room, you tell it that you will miss it and you love it the most in this world. In the evening you open the door and see it all neat and clean.

The feeling is very similar to the feeling a day before is when Tuesday's sun knock from the window. During the day, you are told that have to get some documents, and you remember that you had seen it and kept it at a proper place. Although you are confused between a few places :-/. Evening is as neat as it was a day before. But the dried clothes have found their place in the wardrobe, and it looks a little messy.. But as long as its not visible to me, its okay! But what about the documents, especially with this friend's calling up, you delay taking out the documents for the next day's morning.

You get up a bit early on Wednesday as you have to get those document. You feel proud that your cleaning drive worked well and a hi-five for keeping the documents at the right place. As you check out all the places which could have been one of the proper places for the documents, but you dont find it anywhere. You find it at the most unlikly places, as you had put in a lot of effort to keep those important documents at the right place. Your wardrobe is messed up.. But that is ok, you promise that you will get it back in shape in the evening. In the evening, you realize that your nails are chapped, you try to recollect where did you keep the personal grooming kit. You end up messing the dressing table, throw everything on the table and start working on your nail. You wear a nice nail paint shade.. As the nail paint is wet, you cannot fix the mess tonight.

Thursday morning was tasked to fix a bit of the mess that has been created. But you are already running late for work and waiting for the weekend as you need to spend time with yourself. And since the weekend is blocked, you promise to yourself that this evening things would be cleared.. In the evening, no wonder you are tired, and then there is Friday too..

But but but, my dear friends, there is more to it, remember what the post started with....

The Friday morning is a happy morning, you wait for the day to end, and facebook status reads TGIF.. No hard work today and all the tasks get dragged for the weekend..................................................................................................................

Author's Note: Yes.. I am the you in this post!

I reckon that during those growing up times kids had certain set of beliefs, including the concept of oceans
(with Shesha Chaturvedi), that breaking promises was a crime.. I wonder, if it were true should you be hanged till dead for not standing upto the mark. I made promise to my room everyday, but I stick to them only on a Sunday, which can anyday takle a backseat dependending on my schedule, however whatever state it is in, I love my room!

PS:
Writing this post was a therapeutic and beautiful experience for me. At last one post for the month of March
PPS: Refereing to the question, I will choose the Saturday.. What about you?

Blabber! Oops Blogger~

Although I never felt like putting my everyday chorus on this blog, (by now all the dedicated followers of my blog know I have a personal blog for that ;P), but today I wish to try my hands at it.

I herewith plan to feature a usual day of an unusual blabber! Oops Blogger~~

This stared with an early morning day, packed with meeting over coffee, luncheon briefings(read in the pantry with ofcourse Nish)! I get up after one hour of snoozing alarm, on both the cell phones! As I need to catch-up with the beauty packed sleep. Rush to brush, bathe, get ready and sip into whatever is available to break the night-long fast.

The moment I step out of home, there is an awakening of a feminist inside me. A contradiction of ideologies over reaching office in time or should I fight with that moron, well whatever that is... Now all you guys know why am I mostly late for office.

Well, after a grilling day in office come a mirror-showing moment. Your beloved blogger still manage to look stunning! Well the proof for this come as people sharing contact details by reciting their phone number 9177 ~~ something louder than they ideally would have. Wish I noted his number and put it here!

It was fine to acknowledge my good looks, but that stingy A** got a bad stare, and a clear signal to brush off otherwise the feminist will take on. Besides such sweet acts just make my day!

Author's Note: This post is dedicated to all the blabbers out there! Brush up your skills people, Blabbering is flourishing the creative industry today~

Bully Proof Youself!

It's when the cynicism flows through, their act amounts to abuse - physical / emotional / social. Well quite often than never we come across people who are real cynic. You end up wondering how on earth can someone be such a kowtow for sarcasm? Like you all humble souls around, I too happen to come across many such people who pay genuine obedience to fault findings.

I often brush up my irritation by calling them useless fellows, but that calls for a bit of search on it and understanding psychological aspects that make them so inhumane. Its called bullying! Bullying is a form of abuse, of authority, words, gestures. It could be anyone who tries to possess an authoritarian attitude on others, and get pride out of it.

It's like cactus that stands so calm, but even a gentle encounter may leave you bruised. It's like a street dog, who has to bark at each and every by-passer, more so when the street is calm proclaiming his dominance.
So don't cream their egos by agreeing to them. Try differing and show them a mirror. Never confide in them, they may be coming back to you leaving you all the more hurt. Answer back their crap, they are just testing your capabilities by bugging you. And finally don't pay heed to their blabbering! Remember that bullies are a bunch of underconfident people who are mentally sick. Don't succumb to them, try speaking out!

Author's Note: I prefer being humble. Now that my sister is gonna come out as a psychologist, I happen to learn close to as much as she did during her course. Please feel free to drop in your comments with ideas of dealing with bullies.
