God - Why I Call It a Fiction
(G on Day 7 of A to Z Challenge 2015).

Everyone created God in its own image and likeliness - Now they are fighting over whose god is the best of all.

Who among these is more real?

Here is a phrase that was carved on the walls of a concentration camp cell during WWII by a Jewish prisoner. If there is a God, He will have to beg my forgiveness.”

If you Google the above phrase and search for image, you will find yourself in a heartbreaking scene. And if that does not break your heart, I am saying it out loud that you are an unkind person.

The two big mistakes were the belief in a sky god -- that there's a man in the sky with 10 things he doesn't want you to do and you'll burn for a long time if you do them -- and private property, which I think is at the core of our failure as a species. That's the source of my indignations, my dissatisfactions, however it comes out on the stage. I feel betrayed by the people I'm part of, these creatures, these magnificent creatures.
- George Carlin, Orange County Register, March 1997

To me God, mythologies, religious dictates are quite similar to Santa Clause, Mermaids, Unicorns and Flying horses. Those who claim to be messiah (messengers) were neurotics talking to an imaginary friend. They never grew up and wrote a book. Now people fight over one book and they are averse to the ideas of other books.

Because hello, for all the power that people vest within Gods - if he were real that world would not have been ugly. Most of the causes of violence are rooted in religion and beliefs.

If you tell me that God is a nice man, and you allow any kind of violence (or abstinence) in the way one leads one's life then I fail to see anything nice your gods. If your god created you and you support violence then you are not a good creation of God.

Author's Note: Sorry to offend all the religious people out there. I know you have high regards for your faith and I have high for mine.

People who claim that religion is an important element of humanity are to be reminded that religion does not make someone good or bad, it is moral that come with the kind of upbringing one receives.

India's Daughter Disowns You. #NirbhayaBraveheart

You teach everyone that it is okay to treat me secondary as
You served him four and mine were counted till two.
You stopped me from eating beyond three and
You said that girls look pretty only when slim and lean.
You got me only dolls when I wanted to play with all, that's when
You told me with conviction that I must choose not what I want.

You said that I need to be ready right when I was a kid
You insisted everyday that I only cook, garden, sow and clean.
You taught me to put up a smiling face when I am in pain and
You label me impure for those three day because I menstruate.
You told me to cover up as I grew towards teens, that's how
You told me that I need to conceal what I have.

You groomed me and it seemed to be getting ready for a war
You did not raise a soldier but a victim of that war.
You saved for not my big day but your big day when
You were to dissociate with me to garner ritualistic praises.
You did wrong and I unlearned all your teachings, so while
You said getting slapped get me out of trouble, I ended up beating blue them all.

29 December - National Shame Day (India)

I (India's Daughter) request you to disown me because I refuse to be your definition of a girl, woman, lady...
To such an India, Am I India's Daughter - I am no more, I disown you!

Source: Google Search

Author's Note: Nirbhaya is not ashamed, it is you who call me your daughter - you are ashamed!
Stop dragging a brave-heart in your filthy conversations. No one, no statements and no act can bring disgrace to her. That act cannot be undone, and many such acts happen across India, when India quietly prepares its daughters for the war!

Background: There is an outcry following statement made in 'India's Daughter', a BBC Storyville documentary by British filmmaker Leslee Udwin by Mukesh Singh, driver of the bus in which the rape took place. He said Decent girl won't roam around at 9 o'clock at night. A girl is far more responsible for rape than a boy is. Boys and girls are not equal. Housework and housekeeping is for girls, not roaming in discos and bars at night or wearing wrong clothes. About 20% of girls are good. The rape and beatings were to teach the young woman and her friend a lesson that they should not have been out late at night.

INDIA's DAUGHTER is the story of the short life, and brutal gang rape and murder in Delhi in December 2012 of an exceptional and inspiring young woman. The rape of the 23 year old medical student by 6 men on a moving bus, and her death, sparked unprecedented protests and riots throughout India and led to the first glimmers of a change of mindset. Interwoven into the story line are the lives, values and mindsets of the rapists whom the film makers have had exclusive and unprecedented access to interview before they hang. The film examines the society and values which spawn such violent acts, and makes an optimistic and impassioned plea for change.

Madras Cafe - Review

One man's terrorist is other man's revolutionary.

This topic has never been spoken about in the Bollywood space, and thus I wanted to watch it. The movie revolves around the assassination of former prime minister Rajiv Gandhi, the LTTE (referred to as LTF in the movie) connection and the role played by RAW. It captured the sentiments of an Army Man's wife, it carried the message about how businesses run countries' national policies, it can become a nasty game. Politics is nothing but the information game and reinstating who is powerful in a region.

West wanted a strong hold in Indian subcontinent and India wanted to avert it, thus decided to intervene in Sri Lankan civil war during the 1990s. It showed failure of Indian military power, world's 4th largest military power to a revolutionay, Anna Bhaskara.

An army man confessing that the killing could have been averted. Although it was not clear to me how could it be averted?

Nargis Fakri role as a war correspondent, Jaya, was real, and her acting was far better than it was in Rockstar. Although I liked her in Rockstar as well.

John Abraham as Major Vikram Singh was naturally a hero. The movie was projected from his narrative perspective. I find John picking up on serious roles as a great decision. Even in Shootout at Wadala, I liked his role.

The songs are just great, I changed my hello tune to one of the songs from the movie Madras Cafe, Mera Kaun hai...

Author's Note: If you can see blood bath, become a war correspondent, and if you will puke when you see blood bath become a romantic novel writer. This though might be reflected in later posts.

P.S: I still have the image of Rajiv Gandhi's assassination intact, as we watched it on TV. And for a 7 years old me, it was something thrilling, full of horror.

P.P.S: This reminds me of an incident about one of the top business houses in India. There was a negative story about the business house carried by the Forbes Magazine. The Corporate Communications head was being targeted at by the company management for providing sensitive information to the media. Based on mere acquisitions, he was house arrested for 2 months, and threatened by the mafia. He ended up committing suicide. This is not an old story, happened recently, something like 2 months back. But there is no action that can possibly be taken against the company, because there is no proof.

This verdict will lead to controversies, religious parties will come forth, and may lead to riots. Remember that whoever dies in riot is neither a hindu or a muslim.. The person who sacrifices his life ts some one's brother, son, father or the bread winner of a family. For humanitarian reasons, please spread this message, and save the innocents.

Author's Note: Waiting for a peaceful verdict. Refer to the story here, which says that the political parties have started crafting their strategies for the verdict.

Call for peace!

I don't hate Pakistan, neither do I love her!

I don't hate probably because I happen to have refuge ancestory, who came to Delhi during partition. Since childhood I have been narrated stories of how my grand-parents braved crossing border, how many lost their lives during partition, how some witnessed rape, were helpless, they could not blame anyone! Some of my relative still live in Pakistan as during the time of partition they could not come to India. I might sound similar to many fellows. I don't love because I have never been to my ancestral land, don't know how it smells early in the morning. I am not familiar with the narrow lanes of its cities. But I guess that once I will go there I will feel familiarity with the country courtesy the tales that have been naratted down generations.

The ongoing IPL controversy has made me to publish this post on how much I hate my own country men. People like Parveen Togoria, Bal ThackerayRaj Thackeray, Narendra Modi; organisations like RSS, VHP, BJP, MNS! The domocile politics shaping into communal big ticket vote banks, which time after time issues fatwas on Amitabh Bachchan and Shah Rukh Khan to go to UP and Pakistan respectively. The mob mentality of localities who spread violence across Mumbai. Are they feeding Indian populace on what to speak? I wonder how can they have a strong political base in Maharashtra? I am very angry.. and wish could do something about it. I hope that Judicial Activism come of age in India in interpreting the constitutional rights, fundamental right where a Shah Rukh Khan calls for peace amongst India and Pakistan by inviting Pakistani cricketers to play at IPLs. Isn't it a cute friendly gesture, a call for peace?

Author's Note: Big cities need people with big hearts. I am a delhiete and extend an invitation to all Indians to come to Delhi. So next time when some tom dick harry like Bal / Raj  Tharkey (its no typo error, I mean it :p) suggests someone in a shabby tone to exit Maharashtra, Delhi welcomes them with an open arms!
