Bucolic: A-to-Z Challenge [2 April 2014]

People with bucolic charm.
There is something about them.
They are rugged and rustic.
They go on night safaris.

People with bucolic heritage.
Are the ones who ride the horse.
They walk miles.
They dip in ponds.

People with bucolic lineage.
Sleep under bare sky.
Their hands are tough and dry.
And their shoulders are broad.

People with bucolic charm.
There is something about them.
They have a mustache, and a beard.
They are loud and take pride in grey hair.

Author's Note: In this post, I have considered bucolic as an expression. No matter which part of the world they belong to,  there is a universal similarity in them. I have not been a global traveler, I aspire to be one though. While I wrote this I thought of Red of The Shawshank Redemption, I thought of the French farmer who makes an appearance in the beginning of Inglorious Bastards and I thought of the lovers of Brokeback Mountain.

And yes I did think of rustic charm that I get to see everyday on the faces of visitors from countryside.

  6. And you have such a wonderful thought process. Plain and earthy. There certainly is a bucolic charm on the face of hard working people. I just can't express my feelings beyond this poem, you have said it all... Wonderful!!!
